Mogollon Rim

The rim itself begins just east of the New Mexico
border and stretches two thirds of the way across
Arizona; the area we refer to as the Rim includes
Payson and its smaller neighbors, the communities of
Pine, Strawberry and Christopher Creek.
While decidedly not cosmopolitan - and with an
entirely different ambiance than Arizona's other
weekend getaways, Sedona and Prescott - the
Payson/Pine/Strawberry area is laid-back, picturesque
and chock-full of ways to enjoy the outdoors, and
makes this a favorite of ours.

Our family has enjoyed the outdoor experiance in Arizona for
many years now, and would like to encourage our visitors to do the
same.
The climate here allows for activity practically year round and we
enjoy riding at every available opportunity. We hope to share some
of the places and products we appreciate in all of our outdoor
activities.

About 20 minutes NE out of Flagstaff, AZ, just off of
Highway 189, lies an area that mother nature made
just for us outdoor folks. This area contains the
remains of a violent volcanic eruption that happened
just 1000 years ago. The area provides 50 square
miles of unrestricted riding.The Sunset Crater
National Monument resides in this area as well.
